The Start
The romanticized version of witchcraft has always intrigued me in ways that other things never have. From Harry Potter to Serafina Pekkala to Marina Andrieski and the characters in Tamora Pierce's series. Women who work hard to learn their craft.
They study and search for their power in books. They may be born with the ability to harness a power, but they are not born with innate power.
Strong talented women in history have been labeled as witches throughout history, for nothing more than being skilled or having an understanding of some unnatural seeming force.
Science has been mislabeled as witchcraft everytime society does not have a strong understanding of the information known to these hedgewitches. Herbs have healing benefits, and many of thee benefits have been proven with modern medicine.
All of these factors have led to my interest in witchcraft. This blog is a record of my journey and my studies.
